“The rooms were very nice, staff are fantastic, the beach was fabulous. The food was great. Of course I was looking for more seafood. Great location. My only negative is the credits. Limited in how u can use them. Great part I can save them for next trip. I hope they can do a little better with the the night shows.”

“It's OK, nothing more. Compared to resorts and hotels in Asia and Europe it's not a 5 star resort, a solid 4 IMO. A concrete jungle clearly tailored to the US market with prices to match. Pretty small place and quite noisy. Entertainment was only average. Food was very good in the main buffet restaurant, good in the Asian restaurant and pretty average in the Italian restaurant. Staff very good and friendly but we'd only been here 10 minutes and we're subjected to the sales pitch to take up their tours and car hire. My advice is use a local hire company, half the price and great service. Place needs a makeover, put some greenery around to break up the concrete. Mexico though is fabulous so if you're coming see more than just Playa del Carmen.”
