On 11 acres in unspoiled Rock Creek Park the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel seems miles away from the traffic and noise of downtown. But hop on the subway or into a taxi and you're at the museums and monuments in no time. One of the city's biggest hotels the eight-story Omni Shoreham has an impressive brick-and-stone façade. The grounds which slope gently down toward trickling Rock Creek include elaborate formal gardens with a gazebo (often used for wedding photos) and a freeform outdoor pool (heated of course) where the friendly staff takes your orders for drinks and food. Amenities abound from a sit-down restaurant and several more casual options a fitness center with a sauna and shops selling everything from snacks to jewelry. Each morning you'll find a newspaper delivered to your door. The 834 rooms= are smartly designed and have plenty of space to spread out. Thoughtful touches include flat-panel TVs and iPod connections. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. For a little extra pampering call the front desk to arrange an in-room massage. The Omni Shoreham is in the mostly residential neighborhood of Woodley Park just north of Dupont Circle. Two blocks away is Connecticut Avenue and its scores of interesting eateries. National Zoo home to the celebrity pandas is a 15-minute walk north. Getting to the city's sights is easy: Hop aboard the Metro at the Woodley Park-Zoo station a four-minute walk from the hotel. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is about seven miles south.

“The Omni DC is a wonderful place to stay while visiting our nation’s Capital. As a guest, It is not uncommon to run into our political leaders, or dignitaries, as many of them have meetings inside the hotel. The old world charm of the hotel, is not lost to mismanagement, or poor upkeep. It’s truly one of a kind. I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s so close to so much, and has some of the most beautiful surrounding streets, large bridges, and enormous towering trees ; that so much of the city has lost with the rapid development. The staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous, and will go out of their way to see you are enjoying your stay. The rooms are spacious, and clean, there is a great little cafe, as well as a restaurant that serves very traditional breakfast. My only complaint, would be that the magnet keys are very easily deprogrammed, so if you can take one piece of advice, don’t let your phone, or any other cards near your key card. Lastly their is a plethora of good, inexpensive restaurants just a stones throw away, as well as a CVS and an exquisite liquor store, that offers a wide assortment of wine and spirits. I could go on about this hotel, I suggest you just give it a visit yourself. I almost forgot about the pool…. Great way to relax and take in some of the natural beauty, while basking in the midday sun. By”

We love the Omni Shoreham! We just spent one night there this time, as we attended a concert on the way home from another destination and stayed the night. So we didn't get to spend much time at the hotel. However, it was beautiful and comfortable as usual and has everything you need, for example, a restaurant, a sundries store, concierge and a carry-out cafe. I'm sorry that the jewelry store is no longer there, probably due to COVID-19. I wanted to spend some time at the pool but due to traveling, we didn't have the time. It is beautiful. Service was great, as usual. The only snafu there was the phone lines. I couldn't find a way to call the front desk from our phone and I had to call from my cell phone. Also, there was no answer when I called the bell captain for help bringing down our luggage and the bellhop said they were not busy. So the call did not go through. They will address it. Looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. If you stay during nice weather, the pool is a must. However, the rooms could be better. I stayed two nights for a business trip and my room didn't have a fridge or freezer, despite the $180+ price per night. Service from most staff was excellent.

Lindo lobby e lindos jardins atrás do hotel.

Quase me esqueci da piscina...

Beautiful grounds, and great location. The subway is super close by! Staff were okay, nothing special. The bed was very comfortable and the overall room was fine, nothing amazing (which it should of been for the price). I was also upset to hear that breakfast is not included. Considering the price of the room, it really should of been. The hotel seems a little outdated but nonetheless I liked the history behind it. I enjoyed the stay but wouldn’t rave about the hotel. Its not the worst thing in the world having to stay here but for how much I paid I will look at other options next time.

Charming historic hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Good conference/businesses facilities. Service was fine, but very few people available. A bit hard to find the meeting rooms and noone to help. Elevators are tiny and slow. Beautiful lobby and gorgeous gardens behind the hotel. Prefect to sit under the trees.

Staff was top notch. My flight arrived early, with luggage I opted to go straight to hotel, the front desk was amazing. Got me checked in early with a smile and a promise of getting me taken care of. The room was large and gorgeous, very clean, bed was super comfortable. I walked the beautiful grounds, read outside and had a nice afternoon. I was staying for a conference- all meeting spaces and meals were well done. The staff was always right there when needed at any level. From the doorman, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, maintenance.... not one passed by without a friendly smile or a hello. My stay was amazing, can't wait to return.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this hotel! Upon arrival we were met with a friendly greeting from the doormen. Our bags were brought up by the bellman within 30 seconds of entering our room. From that moment, every employee that we had contact with was friendly & helpful! David at the concierge desk had so much knowledge of the area & was able to get us a dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant. The gym has a wide variety of machines. The outdoor pool was clean & well maintained. I also like that the hotel is right next to the trails at Rock Creek park, the Metro is a block away, the zoo is a three block walk (or $2 bus ride) & there are numerous restaurants to choose from a block away. My only complaint would be that the bathroom counter was small but that is what you get in a historic hotel.

La habitación era perfecta, la cama comodísima y amplia. Insonorización perfecta. Bastante caro.
