There is free laundry and a very sizable fitness room and a game room. There is no restaurant on site (yet), but they make efforts to provide a minimal breakfast (Dunkin is also a 1min walk) and often have a wine and cheese time for free in the evenings. I brought my dog for part of it, also a welcome option and I appreciate they charge a 1-time dog fee rather than nightly. There is definitely noise between rooms, I would recommend they come up with a way to decrease door slam noise. But compared to a recent hotel stay in the Theater district of Boston, this was a calm oasis.Considering how few hotels there are within a mile of Harvard, I developed an appreciation for Somerville and this hotel. The ambience and entrance is welcoming elegant and cozy. There was lots of seating space as well as lemon water very new, clean and modern. The gym was also very big and properly equipped. The only complaint would be the latch on the bathroom door was finicky and difficult to close. Very close to the Neighborhood Restaurant, one of the best breakfasts in Boston. Hotel is awesome, very comfy, clean and cozy place to stay, nice lobby. BUT apparently breakfast even if it's a quite cheap option is a mistake :( If it was like a proper breakfast I would give 5! At check in I was upgraded to a King Suite and the room was absolutely beautiful. The downstairs lobby was super cute and reminding me of the Cambria Houston Downtown where I stay often. Very homey and warm. They have nice seating areas to make it feel warm and welcome to sit and relax despite being in the lobby of a hotel. The rooms are really unique in that you need the hotel key to work the lights in the room something that stands out with this property. The surrounding area is easily accessible. Easy to walk to all the restaurants nearby plus a lot of choices for food around. Extremely close to the colleges around and during the school year it is the perfect place to stay to have that access to the schools. Overall wonderful stay, beautiful building, and great location. The room is very nice and comfortable- the only problem- not enough light- there is not enough light in bathroom to shave properly and there is no light over work desk so impossible to use in...
